One thing I love about newborn sessions is getting to hear a family's story. Kensington's parents planned for her for years and years and went through many trials to be able to have her. And then her emergency birth was sudden and painful - Mommy and baby spent some time in the hospital after she was born. So when Michelle contacted me about doing a newborn session, I was hesitant because of how many sessions I'd already had scheduled (and newborn sessions are usually scheduled months in advance). But something told me I would love this session and I wanted to be a blessing to this family. And really, I had forgotten how much I LOVE newborn sessions. They are HARD... draining, sometimes messy, they take a lot of patience and waiting, I bring so much stuff with me... but it's all worth it. Baby Kensington is tiny, wide eyed, with long legs and arms and fingers. Her stunning mommy spent a lot of time beautifully decorating her nursery; you'll see the flower mural in the background of the parent photos.
Thank you Michelle and Ronnie for choosing me to photograph you and your precious baby girl!
